Overview
At Gateway Pediatric Therapy, we believe the little things make the biggest difference. Our mission is to provide top-tier treatment rooted in evidence-based ABA principles, celebrating everyday successes. While we are most known for offering home and clinic-based ABA services for children with autism, we excited to announce that we have expanded our available programs to include community-based behavioral treatment services using a consultation-based model through our Behavior Management Services (BMS) Program! We are looking to grow our team!
Clinicians who are a part of the BMS team perform community-based work with clients diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. Clients may be children or adults who engage in challenging behavior that pose health and safety risk (e.g., aggression, self-injury) or has the potential to interfere with quality of life or pose risk over time if not addressed (e.g., medical refusals; inappropriate sexual behaviors). The program focuses on delivering evidence-based caregiver and staff training to individuals overseeing care to the clients who engage in challenging behavior. Then, caregivers and staff implement behavior support plan recommendations based on our assessment results, with continued monitoring, evaluation, and guidance from the clinician. In this role, BCBAs are consultants who deliver weekly, biweekly, or monthly training/plan monitoring visits based on client progress and medical necessity. Additionally, BCBAs develop, train, and monitor the effectiveness of restrictive or intrusive interventions, after following required procedures to obtain approval at each Community Mental Health partner's Behavior Treatment Committee (BTC). Required procedures may include but are not limited to submitted required reporting, attending BTC meetings, and requesting case consultations. Moreover, BCBAs are expected to be collaborative partners to other members of the client's treatment team and multi-disciplinary teamwork is required.
As a person-centered organization, we work closely with parents, staff, clients, and other stakeholders to meet each client's unique needs in a supportive environment. Our commitment is simple: to do whatever it takes to help our clients thrive. We believe that BCBAs should focus on delivering high-quality staff and parent training and behavior treatment plan monitoring, so we provide exceptional administrative and clinical support to make your job easier and more fulfilling.
Our BCBAs are supported with:
Intake Scheduling - Our scheduling team completes the scheduling of your initial appointment and interviews the client to ensure they understand the purpose of the services.
Reports - Our Quality Control team partners with you to review reports, provide training, and ensure your documentation meets the highest standards.
Billing - Handles claim submissions, so you don't have to worry about reimbursement.
Administrative Support - Work alongside practicum students, floor support managers, and a dedicated reception team who keep daily operations running smoothly.
Supervision and Support - Receive support from management with expertise in community-based consultation for adults and children with serious mental illness and intellectual disabilities. The director of this program has more than 8 years of experience in this area to be able to provide support, coaching, and aide to BCBAs hoping to extend their scope of competence to this area.
