Position Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Pinconning Middle/High School
Work Period: 2026–2027 School Year
Reports To: Superintendent and/or Building Principal
Salary: Determined by the PEA Master Contract
Benefits: Determined by the PEA Master Contract

Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate
- Must meet Michigan state requirements for Special Education
- SA, SE, or SM endorsements required
- Teaching experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
- Strong classroom management and communication skills preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students receiving special education services
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to support student achievement
- Utilize instructional strategies and accommodations to meet diverse student learning needs
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school improvement initiatives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration
