A hostess is responsible for creating the first impression of the Char Stone House experience by greeting guests warmly as they arrive, managing the wait list, and seating guests in a way that supports smooth service flow. They answer questions, provide basic menu or venue information, and communicate clearly with servers and the kitchen about guest needs or special accommodations. Throughout each shift, they monitor table availability, keep the entrance and host stand organized, and ensure guests feel acknowledged and cared for, even during busy periods. The hostess also assists with phone calls, reservations, and to-go orders, handles any guest concerns with professionalism, and upholds the welcoming, community-centered atmosphere that defines Char Stone House. 20-30 hrs per week.
