Position Summary:
Bekins is looking for an Appliance Installation Manager who is excited to find new ways to motivate, measure performance, evaluate, and reward teams. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement successful management strategies. The Appliance Installation Manager will be a highly inventive team player, who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, and efficient. This is a team-oriented role and communication is highly valued. The new manager will need to have technical and problem-solving skills. This is a full-time position with a 45-hour work week, Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Manage personnel including training, reviewing, developing and coaching
- Clearly, concisely and respectfully communicate with customers, vendors and co-workers
- Strive to make department and team organized and efficient
- Continuously evaluate processes for improvement
- Ability to understand scheduling and routing software
- Technical mechanical skills to teach new installers and help in the field if needed
- Experienced with hand tools
- Set and keep accurate work schedules, calendars, and schedule boards for all employees in your department
- Ability to resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner
- Care for your team. Desire to make a positive impact on them
Qualifications:
- Organization; ability to create structures to support or accomplish a plan
- Passion for continual improvement and efficiency
- Professional and concise communication skills both verbal and written
- Willing to hold themselves and others accountable
- Minimum of 2-3 years of work experience as a Manager
- Experience managing Technicians a plus
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop and implement successful management strategies
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
