thyssenkrupp Materials, North America is growing, and we're hiring two (2) NEW Buyers to support our Engineered Plastics business. This is a great opportunity for an experienced purchasing professional who is both a strong team player and highly effective working independently.

What You'll Do
Quote and support sales contracts
Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders
Manage standard inventory through the ERP system
Schedule material to meet inventory and supply chain objectives
Review and process return purchase orders
Enter credits and debits as requested
Maintain knowledge of suppliers, pricing, lead times, and capabilities
Build relationships with supplier inside and outside sales contacts
Purchase against contractual agreements and support risk evaluations
Support regions with alternatives and sourcing decisions
Understand internal processing equipment and global supply base
Communicate effectively with internal teams and suppliers
Support corporate objectives (ROCE, sales, operations, purchasing)
This role includes both strategic and administrative responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
Required
2-3 years minimum purchasing experience
Strong understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work efficiently on your own while collaborating with a team
Comfortable managing details, data, and administrative tasks
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field
