Job Description:
The Software Developer – Cloud Platforms designs, builds, configures, and tests cloud platforms, solutions, and integrations across on-premises and public cloud environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong technical background, and the ability to analyze end-user needs to develop and support scalable, secure, and reliable solutions within the IT organization.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing and delivering medium to large-scale cloud and containerized solutions, is adaptable to evolving responsibilities, and is motivated to continuously learn and apply emerging cloud technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Strong hands-on experience developing and supporting cloud-based solutions
- Proficiency with:
- Kubernetes, Docker, container orchestration
- Infrastructure automation/configuration (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Python, PowerShell)
- DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, GitHub)
- Logging and monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Grafana)
- Experience with Java (Java 17), Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with cloud deployment models (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS)
- Knowledge of database access patterns and JDBC
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience migrating applications from on-premises to Microsoft Azure
- Hands-on experience with:
- AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
- Refactoring applications for containerization
- Spring Batch processing large data volumes
- API gateways (Kong, Apigee, ESB)
- Identity & access management (OpenID, SAML)
- Azure Key Vault or similar secret management solutions
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and debugging connectivity between on-prem and cloud services
