The Position
Under the direction of the Custodial Lead and the Custodial Manager, the Custodial Technician is responsible for routine cleaning and upkeep of Greater Midland facilities. This person will be expected to perform routine and specialty cleaning tasks as well as scheduled facility setups, among other essential duties. They will be expected to utilize industry standard equipment and trained processes to achieve this. The Custodial Technician will also respond to calls and emergency requests as needed. The Custodial Lead must maintain high personal standards, adhere to, and carry out the Purpose and Values of Greater Midland.
Major Job Responsibilities
- Follow daily cleaning routines and directions to maintain all areas of the facility—inside and out.
- Respond quickly to spills or urgent cleaning situations.
- Handle guest requests or complaints professionally and notify others when appropriate.
- Follow daily setup and cleaning schedules to support facility operations.
- Work both independently and with a team to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
- Report any facility or equipment damage to leadership.
- Follow proper safety protocols and report unsafe activities to leadership.
- Regularly check and maintain cleaning quality across the entire facility, regardless of assigned areas or duties
- Keep custodial closets clean, organized, and stocked and communicate supply needs to leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or completion certificate.
- Minimum 2 years prior experience working as a custodial/janitorial/maintenance professional.
- Excellent time management with ability to follow written and verbal instruction.
- Ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service.

Schedule
- Monday-Friday, 4 hours per day, occasional weekends as needed

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, sit, climb, squat, kneel, bend, push and perform physical tasks related to cleaning and facility upkeep as needed to support the team and ensure cleanliness standards.
