Role and Responsibilities
· Assist residents with job seeking activities in the community
· Complete vocational assessments and interest inventories to develop a vocational plan for each resident
· Support residents with skill building exercises to increase productive activity
· Maintain resident confidentiality
· Design work environments that accommodate the needs of our diverse residents
· Create and oversee work trials for residents returning to or entering the workforce for the first time
· Maintain appropriate supervision of residents during work sessions to ensure safety
· Work as part of the inter-disciplinary team to reach the goals developed in the residents’ IPOS
· Document all vocational sessions in EMR systems and report payroll information in a timely manner
· Establish goals and monitor progress with advancement as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 2+ years of experience in vocational counseling and support employment related field.
· Vocational Counseling degree or similar educational training
Preferred Skills
· Experience with clinical documentation
· Experience with individuals with TBI, developmental disability, or autism diagnoses.
· Ability to organize and structure schedules for multiple residents
Additional Notes
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000.
