As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in collecting data and developing reports and visualizations that support college leadership, inform program improvements, and meet accreditation requirements, contributing directly to the College of Education and Community Innovation's educational mission.
Salary and Benefits: Minimum starting salary of $58,000, commensurate with experience

Primary Duties:
• Create data collection mechanisms, where needed, and lead data collection efforts for the college.
• Prepare statistical reports, data visualizations, and narrative reports for the college and for required accreditation standards.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the college's analytic data repository.
• Collaborate with internal partners in planning the college's adaptation to new demands, new data sources, and new methodologies.
• Develop computer programs to extract accurate and appropriate data.
• Respond to routine and ad hoc requests for statistical and analytic information.
• Support faculty in obtaining data for accreditation and continuous program improvement.
• Support the college in presenting information to key stakeholder groups.
• Represent the college in cross-campus data management meetings.
• Perform other duties as required/assigned by leadership.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in data science and analytics, information science, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in data analytics and report writing.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Experience using statistical software (i.e SAS, SQL, R, or Python).
• Experience with the design and visualization of data with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Ability to communicate complex information to a broad variety of audiences.
• Ability to perform accurate and effective work with limited supervision.
• Ability to independently prioritize, plan, and organize multiple work assignments.
• Skill in creating graphs, charts, and presentations.
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel and standard office computer applications (spreadsheets, word processors, etc.).
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Prior coursework in research methods, statistics, data structure and algorithms, data mining and visualizations, database management, and programming.
• 4 years of experience in data analytics and report writing.
• Experience in design and conduct of survey research.
• Experience with Microsoft Access and SQL.
• Ability to write computer programs to manipulate, summarize, and report quantitative data.
• Familiarity with student information systems and web-based records.
• Experience in higher education.
Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Some travel may be required.
