Job Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Work Schedule: 9/80 work week - Off every other Friday!
Hourly Rate: Up to $71hr depending on experience.

Come join our team! We currently have exciting possible Temp-to-Perm opportunities in Sterling Heights, MI for two Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineers with 7+ years of relevant experience in fluid dynamic fundamentals/thermodynamics and heat transfer to work on a Military Vehicle Program.
Job Description:
Perform system and sub-system level Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to support vehicle design optimization.
Responsible for complete system simulations to ensure cooling performance & thermal management requirements are met.
Act as a technical leader in coordinating design efforts across platforms.
Support test plan development.
Conduct validation / correlation studies of CFD results to test data.
Analysis to be performed using the ANSA/Fluent software.
Identify & develop improvements to simulation strategies, processes & toolsets.
Proactively interface with design engineers/project team throughout the development process, provide project status, and follow-up with technical recommendations.
Prepare written reports and communicate conclusions in accordance with internal department reporting standards.
Must be willing to travel to off-site locations (less than 10%), as needed.
Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime, as required.
Perform other complimentary duties, as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Required:
Minimum of 7+ years relevant experience.
Exceptional skills in fluid dynamic fundamentals/thermodynamics and heat transfer are a must.
Must be able to manipulate & prepare models using ANSA software.
Must be able to perform CFD analysis using FLUENT software.
Proven track record of vehicle design optimization for CFD / thermal performance.
This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles is desired. Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space) - (Must be shorter than 6' 4" and weigh less than 260lbs).
Must be familiar with using related software in Windows and Linux/Unix environments.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Able to bring a continuous improvement mindset and methodologies to the position.

Must be able to clearly and succinctly present technical data to a non-technical audience.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Teams.
Preferred:
This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance).
Background in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and related software, desired.
Experience with Teamcenter and associated CAD tools (VisMockup, Creo, NX, etc.).
Experience with optimization tools (Isight, HEEDS, etc.).
Experience with data analysis/processing and multi-domain simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
Experience with AI methods/tools relative to engineering and/or data analysis is strongly preferred.
Previous experience working on ground combat Vehicles desired.
