Positions Location: Lansing, MI
General Purpose
Support provider compensation processes in a timely and customer-focused manner. Areas of focus include, but are not limited to, bi-weekly payroll entry review and approval, market pricing, salary survey participation, updating information in HRIS/Ludi system pertaining to provider compensation, and other relevant data tracking
Essential Duties
- Provides support to leaders and team members pertaining to provider compensation matters in a timely and customer-focused manner.
- Reviews bi-weekly payroll payments relative to contracts or compensation plan documents to ensure accuracy.
- Updates internal tools as new market data is available.
- Completes 3rd party market surveys and responds to requests for data to be used for analysis.
- Maintain HRIS, compensation systems, and data integrity with IT and HR.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, calculations, and compensation rationale.
- Track and assist in the collection of provider job descriptions and administrative time documentation, ensuring alignment with their assigned administrative roles
- Create and generate reports using HRIS systems, provider compensation systems, and market pricing programs and other software as needed.
- Provide additional compensation support, including but not limited to, ad hoc special projects as needed.
- Provides general administrative support to the compensation team as needed.

| Education |
• Bachelor’s degree and no HR/Provider Compensation experience OR associate’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR/Provider Compensation OR HS diploma and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in HR. |
| Specialized Knowledge and Skills |
• Proficient with computer software (MS Office) • Strong technical skills, with the ability to manipulate, organize and validate data in spreadsheets using various functions (e.g. vlookups, pivot tables). • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and to use sound judgment. • Self-motivated with a desire to learn about provider compensation and other HR matters. • Excellent communication skills necessary to effectively interact with all levels of leaders and team members. • Ability to build constructive, collaborative relationships with leaders and co-workers. • Analytical problem-solving skills are required, in addition to being self-directed, organized and efficient. • Demonstrated ability to perform arithmetic calculations. • Demonstrated high level of confidentiality and discretion. • Ability to work with frequent interruptions. • Must complete work accurately. • Willing to ask questions to ensure understanding. • Demonstrated data entry and keyboarding skills. • Ability to manage demanding situations with patience and tact and maintain a service-oriented demeanor. |
