Variable Fleet Coordinator
Location: Canton, Michigan (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract to Perm
Role Overview
We are seeking a Variable Fleet Coordinator to manage vehicle fleet operations. This role involves overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and logistics of delivery vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience in fleet or rental vehicle management and possess strong customer service skills. This position is responsible for ensuring the fleet is maintained to high standards and ready for service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed pre and post in-service inspections of fleet units.
- Manage the key inventory for all variable fleet vehicles.
- Coordinate light detailing, washing, and cleaning of vehicles.
- Schedule corrective mechanical and body repairs with third-party vendors.
- Ensure all returned units are refueled and prepared for redistribution.
- Maintain and foster relationships with clients, vendors, and fleet personnel.
- Perform record keeping for all completed maintenance and service activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to improve program efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Education: A High School Diploma is required.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience managing rental or fleet vehicles is required. This should include an understanding of vehicle repair, maintenance, and customer service processes.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to be on your feet and drive for a significant portion of the day.
- Availability to work weekends and some holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in customer service or client account management, preferably in a B2B service environment.
- Experience as Branch Manager or Operations Manager.
Compensation & Benefits
A competitive compensation package is offered for this position. The pay rate is between $23.00 and $27.00 per hour. Specific benefit details will be provided to eligible candidates.
