Engineering Manager
We’re hiring a Quality Assurance Technician at Tannas Company, part of the Savant Group, at our Midland, Michigan headquarters.
You’ll ensure our instruments, components, and materials meet the highest quality standards before reaching our customers. From inspections to process audits and supporting continuous improvement, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping our products precise, reliable, and compliant. You’ll work closely with Production, Engineering, and Suppliers to identify nonconformances, support corrective actions, and strengthen the processes that make our instruments world-class.

What You'll Own
You’ll ensure that Tannas products are built and delivered to our exacting quality standards. Your mission: verify, audit, and improve product quality while supporting a compliant and efficient manufacturing process.
This is a hands-on technical role. You’ll conduct inspections, audits, and tests, identify problems, and support corrective actions. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production, and Procurement to keep projects and processes moving forward with accuracy and precision.
What You'll Do
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of parts, instruments, and reference oils
- Maintain calibration schedules for inspection and measurement equipment
- Identify, document, and support resolution of nonconforming materials
- Conduct process audits and support ISO 9001:2015 compliance activities
- Review and maintain quality documentation, records, and procedures
- Inspect PCB assemblies and mechanical components for workmanship and configuration
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
What You'll Bring:
- Associate degree in technical, engineering, or quality related field is preferred
- 3+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ISO 9001:2015 QMS compliance
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Global Shop ERP preferred)
- Ability to read GD&T, blueprints, and engineering specifications
- Experience using inspection measurement tools
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
