Job Details

QUALIFICATIONS:                  

• Minimum of high school diploma required
• Knowledge of maintaining library records
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, coworkers
• Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):

• Type and process orders, reports, bibliographies, forms, library schedules, letters to publishers, catalog cards, etc.
• Assist and instruct students in library use and etiquette and selecting reading materials
• Retrieve overdue materials and write notices
• Make simple repairs on damaged books and process more severely damaged books for repair
• Annual inventory of library materials and prepare lists of missing material and material to be discarded
• Shelve incoming books
• Supervise students in the library
• Provide instructional support services under the direct supervision of certified teach staff
