Shift: 2nd Shift (training on day shift for 1-2 months)

Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Testing Operations Supervisor to support vehicle testing operations at a major automotive proving grounds. This role will co-lead a large union workforce across durability, performance, and safety testing while ensuring efficient operations, safety compliance, and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
Co-lead a 200+ member team of drivers, mechanics, and support staff in a 24/7 operation
Assign vehicles, manage test schedules, and ensure proper execution of testing activities
Oversee maintenance workflows, including work orders and minimizing downtime
Lead shift meetings, communicate priorities, and coordinate daily operations
Ensure accurate documentation of vehicle issues and test results
Act as liaison between engineering teams and garage operations
Respond to incidents and emergencies, following established protocols
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency
Approve timecards, support coaching, and handle performance management
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; degree in business, automotive, or engineering preferred
1+ year of related experience with prior leadership or supervisory experience
Experience working in a union environment (SBU/HBU preferred)
Knowledge of automotive testing, vehicle systems, or repair processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Additional Details
Supervising teams of mechanics and test drivers on off-shift operations
Must be flexible for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Onsite panel interview (30 minutes, STAR-based format)
