Summary of Position:
This position will have primary "day to day" responsibilities in the Mill area doing machinist work with a clinet's specifications to produce manufactured parts. Using blueprints provided by a company's engineer, mill machinists assess specifications and configure the equipment to produce lots/batches of parts. This position is also required to support the plant's safety & environmental initiatives. A physical precense on the floor will be part of each day's tasks and responsibilities; this is not a "desk job" position.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

- Shall adhere to all safety, health, and environmental procedures, policies, and practices (Employee Handbook)
- Shall support all customers' expectations through established technical and precision protocol
- Shall adequately set up the devices. May be responsible for procedures such as cutting and milling, squaring, drilling, tapping, and boring as examples of tasks required
- Support of procedures and protocols of ISO 9001:2015 and work instructions to ensure customer satisfaction
Key Accountabilities:
- Responsible for supporting the practices for TPM (Total Preventative Maintenance) to continually improve the preventative maintenance program of the operations (equipment & practices)
- Mill machinists are expected to use measuring tools such as guages, calipers, indicators, and micrometers to perform tool changes and radius offsets
- Responsible for the setting up, loading, and programming (CNC) equipment. They're responsible for its smooth operation and transition from one customer requirement to another
- Responsible for "day to day" assigned projects
- Help with maintaining time lines and ensuring that the company strives to meet customer expectations
- Support with input for the function of process and operation cadence
- Willing to be active and possible travel for education requirements that improve techniques and programming requirements to maintain and/or upgrade systems for quality impacts to continuous growth
- Support other team functions required by management that would support facility growth
Skills/Competencies:
- Personal computing skills with knowledge of Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
- Strong communication skills - both written and oral
- Highly organized
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to identify urgent and/or emerging problems and engage appropriate colleages in problem resolution
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Secondary degree is Machining or equivalent experience & training is strongly preferred
Experience Requirements:
- Five (5) year or more of experience in machining or similar role within a manufacturing setting
- Experience in some facet of prototyp or manufacturing setting
