Process inbound and outbound shipments of finished castings, raw materials, supplies, parts, tooling, and customer owned containers. Perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind and in accordance with established procedures and process instructions. Take necessary action to minimize delay time and maximize production.
1. Ship castings and other items that leave the plant and receive materials , supplies, parts, tooling, customer owned containers, and returned castings.
2. Complete bills of lading and arrange for export documents for shipped materials , as necessary.
3. Ensure shipping containers are properly labeled. Create and apply bar codes or other required documentation as required.
4. Contact common carrier, customer, or logistics contractor as appropriate to arrange for transportation.
5. Load trucks to proper weight or container limit. Ship complete orders, whenever possible.
6. Enter shipping information into files and databases.
7. Weigh and stage finished containers of castings until ready for shipment . Combine overrun castings with the next shipment.
8. Verify incoming materials against packing slips and specifications . Verify quantity, lot numbers and certifications as received on the department work instructions . Contact appropriate department when materials require additional inspection.
9. Inventory raw materials as scheduled. Enter receipts and inventory information into the system.
10. Attach accepted tags to approved materials before delivering to using department.
11. Operate fork truck to transport finished goods to designated departments per requirement.
12. Complete daily fork truck check sheets and forward to supervisor
Requirements: Experience with Microsoft (Excel, Outlook), Must be able to attain fork-lift license (trained internally) within 10 days.
