We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Student Support Coordinator to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year!
NATURE OF THE POSITION:
The Student Support Coordinator supports student achievement by addressing barriers to learning,
including behavior, attendance, and social-emotional skill development. This role provides schoolwide and
targeted support, with a focus on students who may be at risk of academic difficulty.
The Coordinator delivers social-emotional learning (SEL) instruction, supports the development and
monitoring of Educational Development Plans (EDPs), and works within a multi-tiered system of supports
(MTSS) to improve student engagement and success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
2. At least two (2) years of experience working with students in an educational setting
3. Experience supporting student behavior, engagement, or intervention systems preferred
4. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records
6. Knowledge of PBIS, restorative practices, SEL, or MTSS frameworks preferred
7. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families
8. Enthusiastic, student-centered, and solution-oriented mindset
RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
? Work with school leadership and staff to identify student needs related to behavior, attendance, and
engagement
? Provide individual and small group student support focused on skill-building, problem-solving, and
school success
? Provide targeted support for students identified as at-risk academically, behaviorally, or through
attendance concerns
? Plan and deliver schoolwide SEL lessons in classroom settings to support student development in
areas such as emotional regulation, peer relationships, and responsible decision-making
? Support implementation of PBIS and restorative practices across the school
? Respond to and assist with Tier 1 and Tier 2 student behaviors using intervention-based approaches
? Assist with development and monitoring of behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
? Monitor student attendance and support outreach and intervention efforts for students with
attendance concerns
? Support early identification and intervention for students experiencing barriers to academic success
? Support the development and implementation of Educational Development Plans (EDPs), including
student goal-setting and progress monitoring
? Collaborate with teachers to support student engagement and consistent expectations
? Communicate with families to support student success and remove barriers to learning
? Maintain accurate records of student supports, interventions, and communication
? Use data to monitor progress and adjust supports for at-risk student populations
? Participate in MTSS/Student Support Team meetings and contribute to data-based decision making
? Perform other duties as assigned
