What You'll Do
As a Materials Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the boom assembly line by ensuring materials are accurately picked, staged, and delivered according to production schedules and customer demand. In this role, you will:
- Prioritize boom assembly line orders to be picked according to schedule and customer demand
- Accurately and efficiently perform picking tasks using warehouse equipment
- Maintain proper first-in-first-out (FIFO) rotation of boom components
- Place picked items in the boom assembly staging area and prioritize them with the appropriate flag
- Monitor boom bays by moving empty carts into the staging area and placing new jobs into bays according to priority
- Research and report issues or errors according to established procedures
- Process parts requisitions for needed materials
- Perform assigned daily and weekly cycle counts of boom components and report discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and events
- Cross-train in other functions within the materials area
- Demonstrate a willingness to assist outside the materials area when needed
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will:

Qualifications
- 1-3 years of previous material handling experience preferred
- Experience using an RF scanner preferred
- Prior experience operating a hi-lo/forklift strongly desired
- Ability to exert up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs frequently
