The primary purpose of this position is to assist Members First Credit Union to deliver on its mission, vision, and brand promise. You will do this by living out our core values in every service contact to both internal and external members.
Essential Duties

Receive and process member transactions including cash and check processes, deposits, transfers, and loan payments

Assist members with account maintenance and changes

Collaborate with branch staff to cross-sell and increase member share of wallet

Ensure security and compliance procedures are followed in all transactions

Work at various credit union branches within the designated service area, adapting to each branch’s needs

Ensure consistency in service quality and adherence to policies across all branches

Maintain accurate transaction records and follow-through with member requests

Adapt communication style and remain open to feedback from multiple leaders
-
Must be available to work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. M-F, with daily travel, Saturday rotations, and occasional extended hours

Successfully obtain Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation within first year
Duties and Responsibilities

Create opportunities for expanded member relationships by identifying needs and recommending solutions

Remind delinquent members that their payments are due
-
Maintain Sales and Service Performance Expectations
-
Process deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments
-
Handle inquiries on member accounts, statements, and histories
-
Process check orders as needed

Sell Visa Gift Cards, Travel Cards, cashier’s checks, and money orders

Collect applicable service fees

Answer phones and handle inquiries

Process mail as needed

Assist other departments with clerical duties

Participate in monthly developmental coaching

Education and Experience

Minimum high school graduate or equivalent

Experience operating a personal computer

Strong communication skills

Good working knowledge of credit union products and services

Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to learn credit union systems, products, and procedures

Ability to obtain CCUFC certification within first 6 months
