Job Position: Engineering Data Technician
Job Summary:
The Engineering Data Technician is responsible for verifying the accuracy of and suggesting changes to the bill of materials (BOM’s), part lists, and perform necessary administrative tasks as necessary. They will do time studies, if needed, to get bill of materials accurate. They will adhere to all Bandit safety, quality, inventory and production guidelines, standards, policies, and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understands system relationships to produce technical documents that are easy to understand.
- Assist with generation and creation of reports.
- Record work centers where assemblies are manufactured to determine correct routings.
- Work with engineers to improve designs and better production processes for our machines.
- Combine various designs, blueprints, and schematics into on overall schematic.
- Manage and organize records and files to give to management.
- Create accurate spreadsheets of data collected.
- Gather data for accuracy and prepare for the implementation of SAP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills
- Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in related position
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently sit for extended periods of time
- Occasionally stand, walk, push, pull, stoop, pinch, grasp, and/or bend
- Requires employee to occasionally work both inside/outside in heat/cold, and/or wet/humid conditions.
- Occasionally required to use personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent injury.
- Occasionally lift 30 pounds
