Overview
Production Support Coordinator (PSC)
Provides administrative support to the production team by assembling, distributing, and organizing job packets, managing revision changes, and prioritizing "hot jobs" for the department. This role involves tracking missing parts, performing cycle counts, and ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
Job Responsibilities
1. Assembles and distributes job packets and may print pick tickets as needed for jobs and distributes to the floor. Reviews and closes out completed jobs, issues material for overruns.
2. Organizes and files shop packets, set-up specs, folders, and prints.
3. Assists operators when job packets are incorrect due to revision changes. May need to create new job packets including run charts, set-up charts, barcode labels, blueprints, etc. Makes appropriate changes, re-prints, copies, and distributes to operators and other personnel.
4. Monitors the absence call in line and notifying appropriate supervisors of employee absences.
5. Reviews and maintains Job Priority List and prioritize "hot jobs" for the department. May need to arrange shipping pick-up/delivery of priority jobs between facilities. Coordinates with Production Planners on job shortages/issues/hot jobs.
6. Identifies and tracks missing parts, loads, and works-in-progress in facility.
7. Performs cycle counts of inventory items, including initiating counts, physical counting of items, data entry of counts into computer system, investigation of discrepancies, initiating corrective action plans.
8. Compiles data from sources such as production reports inventory transactions and shop work orders to prepare reports, graphs, etc.
9. Ensures postings are current on group's communications boards.
10. Acts as a backup to other PSCs and trains New PSCs when necessary.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Requirements

Educational Requirements
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience Requirements
* Prior experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
