Electrical Substation Drafter/Designer w/ Autodesk Inventor
TITAN has an immediate opening with a client partner, and the position will require someone to work in their office five days per week. Candidates must live within 50 miles of the Ann Arbor office location. This is expected to be a long-term opportunity. This position has the potential to transition to direct employment with the client partner in the future.
Overview and Skills
- Looking for candidates who are currently using Autodesk Inventor with SDS (Substation Design Suite) in the substation industry.
- Ideally these candidates have been using the software for 3-5 years and can support some of the drafting/design independently.
- They would also be interested in candidates who know only Autodesk Inventor but have been working in the substation industry.
- If a candidate only knows Autodesk Inventor and not the SDS portion they will be considered. Company is willing to teach the SDS skillset, but candidates need to have the substation industry experience.
- If a candidate has Autodesk Inventor only and no substation experience will not be selected those for interviews.
- Functions in a senior-level engineering technician capacity.
- With minimal supervision, performs advanced functions requiring knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards and document control processes/procedures in support of creating and modifying deliverables.
- May provide technical guidance and direction to other engineering professionals including delegation of work assignments.
Education
Diploma or Certificate preferred. Associate degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
