Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency standards are met. This role provides direct supervision to production team members, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet schedule, quality, and cost targets
- Lead, coach, and develop production team members, including training, performance feedback, and discipline
- Enforce safety rules and promote a strong safety culture throughout the facility
- Monitor production metrics and address issues related to efficiency, scrap, downtime, and quality
- Ensure compliance with ISO/TS/IATF standards and company procedures
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve production issues
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate production goals, expectations, and updates
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, etc.)
- Maintain accurate production reports and documentation
- Participate in audits, investigations, and corrective action processes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (metal stamping or automotive preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems
- Ability to work flexible shifts for training
- Willing to travel mileage reimbursement
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery
