Inbound Support Specialist
We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Inbound Support Specialists to join our growing team. In this role, you will support members by handling inbound calls related to insurance claims, providing clear guidance, answering questions, and helping resolve issues efficiently. This position is ideal for candidates with strong customer service skills who are eager to learn and grow within a regulated industry.
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls from members regarding insurance claims and related inquiries
- Follow up with members on claim statuses, required documentation, and next steps
- Assist members in understanding coverage details and claim processes
- Provide clear explanations of claim decisions and resolution paths
- Guide members through claim submissions and appeals when needed
- Deliver a high level of customer service through active listening and empathy
- Address and resolve inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Ensure members feel informed and supported throughout the process
- Accurately document all interactions and updates in the company’s CRM system
- Track call outcomes and member feedback
- Follow up on unresolved issues to ensure timely resolution
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in a call center or customer support environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic in sensitive situations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and software applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Interest in learning the healthcare and insurance industry and related processes
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
