POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides direct support in 3 functional areas, including: inventory control, crating and after sales parts fulfillment. Level 2 technicians must demonstrate mastery of 1 of 3 areas of responsibility and be able to work independently in all 3 functional areas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Control
- Pull parts per “New Sales” job pick list.
- Work with scheduler and other team leads to meet material needs of production.
- Enter receivables into inventory control, ensuring compliance with FTZ policies.
- Complete inventory cycle counts.
- Coordinate movement of outsourced materials.
- Inventory sub-assembly’s (bearing installation, bearing assembly, etc.)
- Organize physical inventory layouts, update system primary bin.
Crating
- Perform final assembly preparing “New Sales” equipment for shipment, including:
- attaching feet and motor adapters
- attaching pumps, booster and motor baseplates
- fabricating drain lines
- pump shaft coupling assembly
- Perform final packaging/crating of outbound materials.
- fabrication of wood bracing as necessary to secure the equipment during shipment
After Sales Parts Fulfillment
- Pull parts per “After Sales” job pick list.
- Work with production scheduler to meet the needs of “After Sales” orders.
- Label all parts/parts kits for easy identification by the customer.
- Package “After Sales” parts orders, in a manner that will prevent damage during shipping process.
- Document the contents and packaging method of each package.
Miscellaneous Duties
- Load/unload trucks
- Other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES:
- Proficient computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
- A quick learner
- Team player
- Good mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Must be able to safely and effectively operate forklifts and overhead cranes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- 1-3 year of inventory control and /or assembly experience helpful.
