One full-time position for the 2025–2026 school year
Eight hours per day, twelve months per year
Ninety-day probationary period
Hours: 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Start date: Upon expiration of the posting deadline in accordance with Article XIII, Section C, 2
General Summary of Position
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can independently manage specific projects while collaborating with various departments to support broader organizational goals. A key responsibility of this role is to maintain a safe, comfortable, and high-quality work environment for all members of the organization.
Operations Department Job Responsibilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with tenants, contractors, and management.

Perform all maintenance and repair work, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.

Ability to use building management systems (BMS) and related software for monitoring, logging, and reporting.

Regularly inspect buildings, systems, and equipment to identify and diagnose issues before failures occur.

Complete basic carpentry tasks, including repairing walls, floors, furniture, and installing fixtures such as dispensers and chalkboards.

Perform minor plumbing work, including repairing leaks and clearing obstructions.

Apply basic painting, masonry, and roofing knowledge to maintain high-quality building conditions.

Replace damaged floor and ceiling tiles.

Move and arrange furniture and equipment for events and classroom needs.

Coordinate and oversee external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and installations.

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems for optimal performance and indoor air quality.

Work collaboratively to develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.

Safely operate vehicles including box trucks, forklifts, and man lifts (training provided).

Respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs such as leaks, system failures, and power outages.

Unlock facilities when required and ensure buildings are secured at the end of the shift.

Willingness to work weekends or outside normal hours for special events or emergencies.

Participate in the emergency call list for after-hours fire and burglary alarms.

Comply with local laws for storage and disposal of trash, waste, and rubbish.

Assist with salting and snow removal during winter weather events.

Maintain a positive attitude when working with students, staff, parents, and the community.

Promote the safety, health, and comfort of students, employees, and visitors.

Maintain confidentiality with regard to students, staff, and operational information.

Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Valid driver’s license (Chauffeur’s License preferred)

Minimum of three years of relevant experience

Ability to lift at least 75 pounds

Functional reading and writing skills

Basic computer knowledge

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff, students, and the public

Ability to work at heights, in inclement weather, and in confined spaces
