The College is looking for candidates to teach the course CA 112 Menu Planning and Nutrition at the Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) for the Fall 2026 semester. The ideal candidate should be passionate about teaching and dedicated to helping students succeed. The number of adjunct faculty needed and the sections offered will be decided every semester, with classes scheduled Monday through Saturday in various formats, including Hybrid, Online, and Virtual.

Candidates must have a Registered Dietitian or CDM certification with a Bachelor's degree, and a Master's degree in Dietetics or Human Nutrition is preferred. They should possess at least 4000 hours of relevant work experience and have teaching experience at a community college. It is also important for candidates to have experience with diverse adult learners and to participate in ongoing professional development.

The job includes teaching duties such as following the course syllabus, using the designated textbook, meeting class schedules, stating course outcomes, fostering an engaging classroom atmosphere, keeping student records, and reporting grades on time. Candidates must also accommodate students' needs as per the ADA and adhere to privacy regulations like FERPA.

Physical demands include the ability to teach during the day or evening and do some work outside the classroom, such as grading. Candidates need good judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. They should have strong communication skills to engage effectively with various student demographics.
