Position Summary
The Farmers Market Assistant helps ensure the Kentwood Farmers Market runs smoothly each week by supporting vendors, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with market setup, including equipment, signage, and supplies

Processing food assistance transactions and distributing food tokens

Providing information and assistance to vendors and market visitors

Ensuring market policies and safety guidelines are followed

Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming market environment

What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate:

Has a high school diploma or GED

Has experience, coursework, or interest in farmers markets, food systems, events, or community programming

Enjoys working with the public and providing great customer service

Is comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Can lift up to 50 pounds and assist with market setup and breakdown

Is dependable, friendly, and enjoys working in a team environment
