The City of Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department is looking for responsible and customer-focused Rental Site Monitors to oversee rentals at the Kentwood Library Community Room and the Kentwood Activities Center.This part-time position is perfect for someone who values flexibility, enjoys being around community events, and takes pride in creating a positive experience for guests.
What You’ll Do
As a Rental Site Monitor, you will:
- Open and close facilities, maintaining responsibility for building keys, alarms, lighting, sound, and HVAC systems.
- Welcome renters, review rental contracts, and answer questions at the start of each event.
- Complete pre- and post-rental inspections to ensure the space is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Be available during events to address renter needs and enforce facility rules when necessary.
- Report any damage or equipment issues and help ensure proper care of the facility.
- Maintain a courteous, professional, and helpful presence throughout the event.
About You
You’re reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented. You’re comfortable handling responsibilities independently and enjoy making sure spaces are ready for guests.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds

Pay & Perks
- Hourly pay range: $15.00 - $18.00
