The toolmaker is responsible for ther repair and maintenance of all Plastic Injection Molds. *Must be comfortable and confident in operating all machine tools, i.e,; mill, surface grinder, drill press and TIG welder as well as hand tools.
*Operate overhead crane and able to acquire a forklift license
*Experience in hand polishing mold componets with stones
*Must be familiar with electrical and hydraulic circuits using diagrams, bulueprints, and electrical ciruit test meters and methos to trouble shoot mold systems
*Ability to interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating instructions, procedure mannuals and blueprints.
*Plan, lay out and perform all bench, machine and finishing operations required to alter and condition intricately designed and constructed plastic injection molds and related fixtures.

*Disassembles and assembles molds, analyzes and solves basic mold problems including flashing conditions galling, venting, cooling problems, assebles, repairs, inspects, cleans and polishes molds using skill and care while handling and polishing critical surfaces
*Peforms mold repair ork on cavaties and cores due to damage or wear. Tracks all PM's and repairs with computer
*Assists with calls from manufacturing departments as required
*Completes engineering changes and revisions to molds
*Manufactures new or repairs existing mold components as required
*Interprets drawings and evaluates macining methods on assignments
*Perform precision work to eating tolerances and dimensions
*Build and repoair glue/prime fixtures for the flock department
*Follow all IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures
*Adherence to company policies and regulations
*Performs other duties as assigned
