We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Health Aide to join our Team?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Aide is responsible for assisting students who may have any type of physical limitations, in order to fully participate during the course of the school day. The Aide will be assigned to specific students, and will stay with them throughout the school day, assisting them during regular classes, elective classes, lunch time, and all recesses, in order to make sure the child's needs are being met, and the child can fully participate.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
? As directed by the teacher, provide instruction in the areas of early academics, K-12 academics, vocational and employment, self-care, life skills and social emotional
learning
? Assist in preparation and organization of instructional materials
? Implement behavior support plans for students with significant behavior challenges which can result in the student displaying physically aggressive behaviors towards self or others
? Assist students in meeting their immediate self-care needs related to feeding, toileting and hygiene
? Demonstrate the ability to keep all information regarding a student and their family confidential
? Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions
? Predictable, reliable, and punctual attendance.
? Other responsibilities as assigned at the direction of the Principal.

REQUIREMENTS:
The Health Aide will:
• abide by the same calendar as the school year assigned.
• meet with assigned student(s) prior to the start of school, at Meet & Greet or
otherwise.
• meet with assigned classroom teacher(s) regularly throughout the school year, to
ensure all needs of student are being met, and to ensure consistency throughout the
student's schedule.
