NOTE: THIS IS A CONTRACTED POSITION that runs from May 1st through September 30th. The pay is $5,000 a season. This is paid in five separate $1000 monthly installments. Included in the contract is the use of the camping trailer as a private residence. Caretaker shall have the right to all concessions and the profit from the concessions conducted upon the premises. Other details and requirements are specified in the Caretaker Agreement.
Caretaker shall be responsible for registering campers, supervising the public use of the park and performing a variety of maintenance, supervisory and public relations activities within the park. The purpose is to provide the public with adequate, functional services and facilities in a safe environment to promote public enjoyment of outdoor leisure activities. Caretaker will reside in the camper provided by the Muskegon County Parks or one provided by the caretaker and maintain the camper in an acceptable and operational condition as per the Caretaker Agreement. The Caretaker will also be present daily during the busy season, May through September, to supervise the park and the public and to perform required functions as caretaker.
