Position Summary
Enhance and improve the Plant's products and services through the problem-solving tools, prevention methods, quality-at-the-source and continual improvement techniques. Emphasis on prevention methods rather than detection.
Responsibilities
Works closely with manufacturing and engineering departments to ensure quality production- including but not limited to First pass yield, scrap.
Provide quality information to Production Departments.
May initiate appropriate corrective action to resolve quality problems, of internal or external sources, with direction from QA Engineer/Manager.
Assist in solution of daily problems by helping coordinate the activities of Inspection, Manufacturing and Engineering.
Improve internal inspection effectiveness by identifying deficiencies in existing procedures and following through the corrective process as required.
Works with the leadership team to ensure that individuals performing functions affecting quality are trained and demonstrate the appropriate skills and performance results.
Maintains a corrective action system to analyze and correct nonconforming conditions and complaints.
Work independently toward general results, devising new methods, modifying, or adopting standard procedures to meet new conditions, making decisions based on precedent and company policy.
Perform other quality functions in planning, SPC, problem solving, and monthly reports as needed.
Must continuously maintain the highest degree of customer service, throughput, quality, cost reduction and people productively.
Qualifications
Demonstrate leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Education and Experience:
Preferred: Associates degree or working towards a degree
3 to 5 years of Manufacturing, Engineering, or related experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices.
Experience or familiarity with parts and finished products
