MEMBER SERVICES COORDINATOR

Rate of Pay: $19.04 per hour
Scheduling Requirements:
Weekday evenings (5pm - 10:15pm) and weekends (all shifts)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position serves as Manager on Duty and assists with Summit on the Park front-end operations, member retention, recognition initiatives, events and specialty group activities.
EXAMPLES OF WORK: (Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the various types of work performed.)
- Serves as Manager on Duty when full-time staff are not present.
- Registers guests for memberships, programs, classes and activities using Township software.
- Plans, coordinates, and supervises membership appreciation events, programs, and specials.
- Greets and interacts with participants, families and community members in a positive and friendly manner and provides excellent customer service.
- Ensures accurate money handling in accordance with Parks, Recreation and Community Services policies.
- Reconciles and records cash, credit card and check transactions daily.
- Answers a multi-line telephone promptly and with a positive and friendly manner.
- Responsible for managing front lobby traffic and multi-tasking while working independently.
- Responsible for interviewing, training, scheduling, evaluating and supervising part-time staff as directed.
- Stays abreast of Parks, Recreation and Community Services communications, including reviewing and responding to email daily.
- Responsible for the enforcement of departmental rules and regulations, operating procedures and policies.
- Responsible for facilities and equipment appearance and cleanliness, including detection and reporting of property and equipment defects.
- Leads staff meetings as scheduled and assists with staff meetings as required.
- Maintains accurate daily attendance reports as well as accident/incident reports.
- Prepares and provides accurate program, activity and equipment reports.
- Assists with the responsibility of responding to, communicating and documenting emergency situations and incidents, including, but not limited to, First Aid, CPR, Severe Weather, and Missing Child events.
- Works with community organizations, groups, and individual citizens to promote a safe and welcoming environment.
- Ensures proper ADA accommodations are met in the facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS—KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Considerable knowledge of facility operations and recreation programs preferred.
- Prior experience working with the public in a mature and responsible manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and data entry.
- Must possess a current, valid Driver's License with a driving history that does not create any liability concerns.
- Customer service experience with the ability to problem-solve.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to self-start in discharging responsibilities.
- Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
- Ability to clearly communicate procedures, problems and policies with fellow employees and the public tactfully and courteously.
- Previous cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- This is an "At-Will" position. Work assignments and hours scheduled are based on availability, division requirements and within the confines of the budget. Schedules and work hours are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time due to division needs, budgeting and staff availability.

- This is a part-time job opportunity. An employee in this position can work up to 29 hours per week year-round. Work hours, however, will be solely determined based on workload and availability.
- This is an at-will position. Hours are limited and will vary based on the operational needs of the department. Employees in this position are not full-time and will be classified as part-time employees.
