Plant Manager
Location: Holland, Michigan
Quincy Street, Inc. (QSI), a pork processor located in Holland, Michigan, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Indiana Packers Corporation (IPC). We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager that is results driven to lead our Holland facility.
This critical role, reports to the Division President, and is directly responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and cultural alignment within the plant. The Plant Manager plays a critical leadership role in ensuring sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and a safe, high-performing team centric work environment.

Position Summary
The Plant Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all production and support functions at the facility. This role ensures alignment with corporate objectives while driving plant-level performance across safety, quality, service, cost, and team engagement.
The Plant Manager oversees Production, Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain coordination, and Human Resources, and is accountable for delivering measurable results in operational effectiveness and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute plant-level operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives and customer expectations.
- Translate business goals into actionable initiatives that improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Manage plant operating and capital budgets to achieve financial targets.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify and lead capital improvement initiatives to enhance capacity, automation, and reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing data analytics and operational best practices.
- Optimize labor utilization, yield performance, and production scheduling.
- Standardize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, and operational consistency.
- Champion a safety-first culture to protect team members and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure readiness and compliance with certification and audit programs, including SQF, BRC, and social compliance (SMETA).
- Lead, coach, and develop department leaders to build a strong and capable management team.
- Promote and maintain a culture rooted in Respect, Integrity, Accountability, Sustainability, and Collaboration.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and team member development.
- Represent the facility professionally within the local community, corporation, and industry networks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in protein or food manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing plant operations and driving measurable performance improvements.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and capital planning.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of food safety regulations and certification standards (SQF, BRC preferred).
- Experience working in USDA and or FDA regulated facilities.
- Experience with social compliance audits (SMETA) preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to lift/move up to 30 pounds and meet physical demands of the role.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, or overtime as business needs require.
- Limited travel (less than 10%).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position operates within a food manufacturing environment and requires exposure to production/processing conditions, including moving mechanical equipment, temperature variations, noise, and other industrial elements. This role requires standing and walking for extended periods and occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
