RECREATION ASSISTANT
Pay Scale: $14.34 - $16.84 per hour
General Summary: Works under the general direction of the Recreation Coordinators. Plans,
coordinates and implements recreational and athletic programs and activities for our
community. This position assists in the on-site coordination of youth and adult sport
activities, recreation programs and special events. Assists the Recreation Coordinators with
equipment ordering, distribution and inventory, and program advertisement. Supervises,
directs, and evaluates recreational programs requiring a high degree of personal motivation,
initiation, and independent judgement.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have completed high
school or equivalent. Must have the ability to work evenings and weekends. Must provide
own transportation, possess a valid Michigan driver’s license, and have an excellent driving
record.
Hours per Week: Not to exceed twenty-nine (29) hours per week
