SEASONAL MAINTENANCE WORKER – WATER RESOURCE RECOVERY FACILITY
Pay Scale: $14.34 - $16.84 per hour
General Summary: Under the direction of the Superintendent and/or department staff
member selected, performs a variety of entry-level and semi-skilled tasks. Primarily assists
plant operators in maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment. Performs a variety of
duties, collecting and organizing records, cleaning and routine maintenance tasks, such as
scraping, painting, greasing, etc. Performs limited entry-level and semi-skilled labor tasks in
the operation and maintenance of the facility, pump stations, grounds equipment, and
operates light duty trucks and power-driven equipment. Performs related work as necessary.
Minimum Requirements: Education equivalent to completion of eleventh (11th) grade and at
least six (6) months general laborer experience, or equivalent combination of education and
experience; possession of valid Michigan driver’s license and safe driving record.
Hours per Week: Varies based on position.
Employment Duration: Not to exceed nine (9) months, depending on hours worked
