Schedule:
Full Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday
Position Summary:
The accounting/finance group is a very hands-on department which will allow the ideal candidate exposure into many areas of the company. We are looking for an individual with demonstrated ability to multi-task, is pro-active and works well independently and as part of a team. This is a visible role that interacts with all areas of the accounting/finance group and many other departments to streamline processes in addition to auditing and maintaining internal controls. This individual will be an integral part of the accounting team and depending on experience will have the opportunity to become involved in, financial statement consolidation, monthly account analysis presentation and other various accounting functions.
Position Responsibilities:
- File Sales and Use taxes for multiple states
- Direct back-up to Pier 33 Accounting
- Direct back-up to Payroll Administrator
- Foreign Financial preparation
- International Internal Audit development
- Key person involved with both monthly and annual close process as it relates to general accounting matters
- Informational reporting to upper management
- Daily use of Oracle and Excel for Accounting activities
- Global dashboard development
- Special projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Experience filing State Sales and Use taxes
- Experience processing a weekly payroll (experience with ADP is a plus)
- Proven ability to operate in various software systems
- Strong technical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years accounting experience
