Peninsula Fiber Network, LLC (PFN), a rapidly expanding fiber optic telecommunications company headquartered in Marquette, Michigan, seeks a full-time Systems Administrator. This position is responsible for the administration, configuration, performance, integration, and security of PFN’s core business software systems. The Systems Administrator works closely with internal departments to analyze business processes, optimize operational workflows, and implement scalable, software-based solutions that increase productivity, improve data visibility, and reduce reliance on manual tracking methods.
Essential Job Functions:

Analyze existing business processes and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and automation opportunities.

Translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions that operate within and across multiple systems.

Design end-to-end automated workflows to improve data flow, system integration, and operational efficiency.

Install, configure, and administer business applications and enterprise systems, including Salesforce (CRM), eLation by Innovative Systems (billing and financial systems), GIS software, and other database-dependent applications.

Research, evaluate, and implement AI-driven tools, integrations, and system enhancements to support organizational growth and innovation.

Ensure performance, reliability, and integration of supported systems by troubleshooting issues, applying updates and patches, and managing APIs and system integrations.

Manage user access, permissions, training, and ongoing technical support.

Coordinate with software vendors to manage upgrades, enhancements, and issue resolution.

Ensure application security and compliance by maintaining data access controls, supporting audits, and upholding security policies.
Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required; experience or alternative degree may be considered in lieu of required education.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in systems administration, application support, or IT operations preferred.

Understanding of SQL and database concepts required.

Experience installing, configuring, and supporting CRM, billing, financial, or other database-dependent applications preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs required.

Experience in the telecommunications industry a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
PFN places great value on the Systems Administrator position, offering a recommended starting annual salary range of $65,000–$75,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
