Talascend is currently seeking a Detailer for a contract opportunity in Allen Park, MI.
Responsibilities:
- Detailers who will be responsible for detailing various parts/components to assist our automotive, aerospace, military and industrial equipment customers.
- Application of CAD skills necessary to complete assignment requirements.
- Responsible for the verification of component details necessary to meet customers’ objectives, clearances, manufacturing requirements and functionality.
- Responsible to support department design and drawing reviews.
- Communicate job status to senior designer, engineering and management on a daily basis. Assist the design department in other capacities such as in detailing and checking, with guidance.
- Continue to strive to be the best in class. (New CAD methods/training, serviceability, manufacturing process, etc.)
- Responsible to support department Quality System and follow any procedures or work instructions provided for assigned projects.
Requirements:
- Candidate should have a working knowledge of Catia, NX, and/or SolidWorks.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school pertaining to mechanical designer/engineering; or in the process of obtaining a degree.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Demonstrated geometric dimensioning and tolerancing capability.
- Related CAD training classes.
