Job Summary: As an Obstetrician/Gynecologist, you will play a vital role in assessing and managing the health of patients, focusing on reproductive health and providing comprehensive care. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Deliver preventative care and treatment for a range of reproductive health issues including pregnancy, childbirth, menstrual conditions, menopause, and sexually transmitted infections.
• Provide comprehensive prenatal care, oversee labor and delivery, and offer postpartum care to ensure the well-being of mothers and their infants.
• Perform various medical procedures aligned with your credentials, including pap smears, pelvic exams, and surgeries such as cesarean sections and hysterectomies.
• Evaluate treatment options carefully, recommending courses of action that are culturally and age-appropriate for each patient.
• Offer Telehealth services when suitable to enhance patient access to care.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver the highest standard of patient care.
• Maintain meticulous medical records, documenting patient histories and treatment plans effectively.
• Educate and counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and related topics to empower them in their health choices.
• Ensure clear communication with patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans for effective follow-up care.
• Make appropriate referrals to specialists as needed, maintaining a patient-centered approach.
• Respond promptly to incoming patient referrals and manage patient charts with diligence.
• Handle urgent medical situations competently and review patient feedback to improve care quality.

Manages patient care resources:
• Prescribe necessary ancillary services responsibly.
• Utilize referrals judiciously to ensure comprehensive patient treatment.
• Encourage appropriate hospital length of stay for patients.
• Maximize the use of information technology systems within the Center for enhanced efficiency.
Fosters clinic and community engagement:
• Act as a resource for colleagues and support staff, promoting collaboration and excellence in care.
• Engage in developing and training clinic staff as needed.
• Attend and contribute actively in provider meetings for better team integration.
• Participate in community education initiatives to inform the public about Center services.

Job Specific Qualifications:
• Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.
• Current medical licensure in the State of Michigan.
• Valid controlled substance license.
• Board certified or board eligible in your specialty.
• Unrestricted DEA license required.
• NRP certification is mandatory.
• Maintain hospital privileges for performing deliveries and call services.
