HTC Global Services, Inc. has an opening for the position of Application Programmer/Developer (Ref# APD225SM).
Work Location: Troy, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties: Create and modify moderately complex applications programs from detailed specifications. Develop and implement data solutions using Python and AWS. Evaluate existing system workflows and constraints to determine the feasibility of new requests. Collaborate with users to identify pain points and opportunities for system improvements. Develop detailed system architecture diagrams and flowcharts to outline the proposed solution. Create comprehensive technical specifications and design documents for the development team. Design and implement scalable and secure solutions using AWS services. Design and implement data structures and data architectures for various AWS services. Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders for feedback and approval. Innovate and propose cost-effective solutions to address complex technical challenges. Translate design specifications into high-quality code, developing new features and enhancing existing functionality. Use CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code for automated deployments. Work on anomaly detection using statistical methods and ML (machine learning) models to identify irregularities in data. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and standards. Collaborate with the development team to resolve technical issues and optimize code performance. Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate system functionality and performance. Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues. Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and user expectations. Coordinate deployment activities and ensure smooth transition to production environments. Monitor system performance and provide ongoing technical support to address any issues. Implement updates and patches to enhance system functionality and security. Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for system requirements, design, and implementation. Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions to facilitate smooth adoption of new systems. Use of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, AWS CloudFormation, Amazon CloudWatch, Python, PySpark, BigQuery, Jenkins, and SQL.
Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Software Developer or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Jenkins, and Machine Learning (ML). Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
