Schedule:
Full Time: 8:30 am- 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday with overtime as required
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for packing domestic and international orders or accessory packs, kits, and component packs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Pack and route all domestic & international orders for all LECO departments
- Use knowledge of shipping procedures and rates to ship orders efficiently to customer
- Compare quantities and identification numbers of parts against customer orders for accuracy
- Assemble wooden and cardboard containers and skids for orders
- Insert parts and equipment into containers in a manner that ensures safe shipment to customer
- Pack and label hazardous materials in proper Department of Transportation containers
- Verify the issue of parts and equipment against orders
- Store and assist in maintaining packing supplies
- Convert English weights and measures to metric whenever needed on international shipments
- Provide packing supplies and expertise to all LECO departments and subsidiaries
- Has authority to determine best shipping method for an order when not specified
- Has authority to question the visual quality of items being packed for shipment
- Pack accessory packs, kits, and component packs
- Other duties assigned by the Shipping Supervisor or Group leader
Position Requirements:
- Must be quality-oriented
- Neatness and orderliness and good with numbers
- Lift truck license
Education/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
