Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting the daily financial and accounting activities of the plant.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and provide detail of P&L variances
- Maintain and review inventory transactions and balances
- Maintain and review capital expenditures and fixed assets
- Assist in production of budgets, forecasts and performance reports (KPI/CPU)
- Work with plant staff to assist them in understanding financial requirements and policy compliance
- Prepare special studies, cost models and presentations as required
- Perform annual standard cost update in alignment with budget
- Coordinate & manage accounts payable activities with the team including invoice processing, ACH payments and vendor reconciliations
- Balance intercompany "Due To/Due From" accounts
- Processes, tracks and reconciles capital asset requests and customer tooling
- Maintain invoice tracking for all customer owned tooling
- Prepares month end journal entries and account reconciliations
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
- Assists in preparation for quarterly / annual audits (internal & external)
- Maintains labor accounting via daily/weekly/monthly reporting
- Backup to accounts receivable
- Prepares special financial and statistical reports and analyzes unusual items on financial or control reports
- Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties upon request of the supervisor
- When necessary, participate in classes and training seminars to learn new technologies and techniques deemed helpful to performance on the job
- Employees are expected to work onsite to attend in person meetings and collaborate as necessary
Academic Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred - major in Accounting or Finance
- 3 - 7 years’ experience in manufacturing business
- Automotive industry experience a plus
- Strong cost accounting experience preferred

- Advanced computer proficiency, including advanced-level use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with OneStream and XA/Mapics accounting systems, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.

- High-level analytical capability, adept at evaluating complex problems and developing well-reasoned solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience conveying information clearly, professionally, and persuasively.
- Self-motivated and innovative, consistently taking initiative to improve processes and deliver high-quality results.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively with minimal supervision.
