Department: Zehnder’s Splash Village
Position: Waterpark Supervisor
Reports To: Aquatics Operations Manager
Function: Under the direction of the Aquatics Operations Manager and the Assistant Aquatics Operations Manager, the Waterpark Supervisor will assist in the overall supervision and development of staff with emphasis on safety and maintenance. Duties will include providing patrons with an enjoyable and safe visit by making sure that all staff is accustomed to Zehnder’s Customer Service philosophy.
Work Performed:
• Assist in year-round fiscal responsibility.
• Handle all problems that may arise.
• Recruitment and training of staff on a yearly basis.
• Training/coaching Head Lifeguards daily.
• Ensure cleanliness of facility.
•. Make sure Pool Attendants are staying on task every day.
• Management by Walking around – Stay visible.
•. Assist in the ordering of supplies.
• Assist in performing water quality duties and adding chemicals to the pools.
•. Able to work any Head Guard shift or MOD shift when scheduled.
•. Supervise the 3rd shift pool attendants to make sure they are being provided with all tools needed to complete tasks.
•. Assist the Assistant Aquatics Operations Manager with any maintenance issues that may arise. Discipline (if needed).
•. Attend various management meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Physical Requirements: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma with a goal of working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from accredited College or University. Maintain a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification and Certified Pool Operator certification. At least 2 year of experience managing staff.
Other Requirement: Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.
