Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a certified Special Education Teacher for an elementary self-contained classroom in Clinton Township.
This classroom includes:
• 1 Lead Teacher
• 2 Paraprofessionals
• Up to 15 students
This is a structured, self-contained setting supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, and adaptive needs.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement IEP-aligned instruction
• Manage classroom routines and behavior support plans
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to support daily instruction
• Communicate effectively with parents, administration, and support staff
• Support students with toileting needs and behavioral challenges as required
Required Qualifications
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
• Special Education Endorsement
• Experience in self-contained classroom settings preferred
• Comfortable supporting students with toileting and behavioral needs
