Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join our team at the Skilled Nursing and Rehab campus in Monroe. In this position, you'll be directly supporting your community in Monroe County.
Responsibilities
- Follow cleaning schedules in accordance with Standard Precautions, hazardous waste handling, and cleaning agent use policies and procedures
- Clean assigned areas, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, trash cans, furnishings and fixtures such as furniture, floors, walls, sills, closets and doors, according to established housekeeping procedures.
- Empty wastebaskets in bathrooms, resident rooms and common areas as directed, replacing with a clean plastic bag and one extra bag at the bottom of the wastebasket.
- Clean general common areas, dining spaces, offices and employee areas according to the assignment schedule
- Assist with laundry duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior housekeeping or laundry experience (preferred but not required).
- Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Reliable, detail-oriented and committed to teamwork.
- Compassion for seniors and a dedication to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
Schedule and Compensation
- Employment type: Part-time, 16-24 hours / week
- Schedule: Day Shift (7:00a - 3:30p)
- Weekends: every other weekend rotation
- Pay Rate: $15.00 / hour
