Greater Midland – Fitness Attendant
The Position
Under the direction of the Wellness Coordinator, the Fitness Attendant works to ensure Fitness Center members exercise safely. The Fitness Attendant will also be responsible for assuring members and guests have checked in, administering InBody 570 body composition assessments, conducting orientations, operating the hydro-bed, maintaining cleanliness of the fitness center and participating in special events.
Major Job Responsibilities
- Interact with members.
- Be visible on the floor (especially during peak times and including Youth Weight Room hours), prepared to answer questions, giving members assistance as needed and performing cleaning duties.
- Give orientations, tours of the Wellness Center, provide direction and tours to other areas of the facility. Provide guidance around safe equipment use.
- Inform guests about and provide accurate information regarding facility services, programs, schedules, costs, membership, policies and all other current events happening in Greater Midland.
- Embrace and demonstrate the values of Greater Midland.
Qualification Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- CPR & First Aid certifications, preferred
- Excellent people skills
- One-year minimum experience in customer service related work preferred
