KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Execution & Issue Resolution
- Own day-to-day transportation execution, actively resolving shipment disruptions, delays, and service failures through carrier portals and direct carrier engagement
- Anticipate risk by partnering with internal teams to surface constraints early, align priorities, and drive timely corrective actions
- Serve as the primary owner of the Transportation Management portal, ensuring customer-specific shipment requirements are clearly communicated and executed
- Monitor shipment flow and retailer compliance risk, proactively flagging issues to prevent disputes, chargebacks, and OTIF/SQEP penalties
Analytics, Reporting & Decision Support
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve logistics dashboards and reporting (OTIF, carrier performance, service reliability), ensuring data accuracy and relevance
- Own SAP shipping master data (weights, cubes), performing routine audits to ensure execution and reporting integrity
- Analyze trends and root causes to convert data into clear, actionable improvement opportunities
- Perform cost-benefit analyses and scenario modeling to support decisions, leveraging automation and tools to reduce manual effort and improve visibility
Cost, Compliance & Performance Management
- Track logistics costs and compliance fees, driving focused actions to reduce chargebacks and unnecessary spend
- Maintain freight budget visibility, identifying savings opportunities and supporting cost-reduction initiatives
- Evaluate carrier performance against service, cost, and reliability metrics, supporting continuous improvement efforts
Process Improvement & Standardization
- Develop, document, and improve standard operating procedures to create repeatable, scalable logistics processes
- Strengthen data accuracy and system discipline across logistics platforms to improve execution quality and reporting confidence
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years’ experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or analytical operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work through ambiguity
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and applied functions)
- Experience with reporting/visualization tools (Power BI or similar)
- Familiarity with ERP and transportation systems (e.g., SAP, TMS portals)
- Experience supporting compliance, chargebacks, disputes, or cost analysis
- Strong communication skills and effective collaboration in a remote environment
- Demonstrated interest in automation, process improvement, and scalable reporting
